Belt In Use Recognition For Belts Left And Right With Belt Tensioner (from 07.96 On), Checking

Belt is completely rolled up.

Display on VAG1551 scan tool: No.

Belt tongue locked into belt lock and in addition belt removed to dimension - L

Display on VAG1551 scan tool: Yes.

Pull belt band completely up to stop.

Display must remain at yes while removing VAG1551 scan tool.

Roll up belt to dimension - L -; do not loosen belt tongue.

-

Display on VAG1551 scan tool must remain at: Yes.

Loosen lock tongue and roll up belt band slowly, with 100 mm remaining

-

Display must change from Yes to No.

Belt is completely rolled up.

Display on VAG1551 scan tool: No.

Removing - L - for left and right belt is 250 mm. Belt cross adjustment is in the center.
