Multi-Function Transmission Range Switch: Testing and Inspection
Automatic Transmission Selector Lever Position Signal, Checking
NOTES:
-
The multi-function Transmission Range (TR) switch -F125- at the transmission switches to Ground at Engine Control Module (ECM) terminal
B11 when the selector lever is in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) positions.
-
The ECM sends a signal (via terminal C16) to the shiftlock relay. If one or both connections are interrupted, the engine cannot be started.
-
When a transmission drive range is selected, ECM terminal B11 is switched to B+.
-
The signal is not processed via ECM terminal B11, but is transmitted through the CAN-bus.
-
