Overview

CAUTION!  If the ATF oil pan is removed, or there is no ATF in the transmission, DO NOT start the engine or tow the vehicle.

General repair notes.

Coat O-rings and sealing rings with a thin layer of Vaseline. Other types of grease lead to malfunctions in the hydraulic transmission control.

1 - Double sealing ring
2 - Adjustment - shim

Location: behind bearing race Shim is correct size and must not be replaced with one of different size

3 - Bearing race Remove and install by hand
4 - O-ring Always replace Coat with gear oil
5 - Filler plug 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)

Remove to check final drive fluid level

6 - Bolt

25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

Tapered head

7 - Drive flange, right
8 - Sealing ring
