Rear Door Window Glass: By Symptom
Sunshade, Reassembling

-

Install electric motor to assembly using 3 screws (incl. in kit).

Note:

Do not tighten screws at this time.

Using new screw 1 (incl. in kit) install new drive plate (with tie rods attached) onto motor.

Note:

Longer Phillips head screw is used for star shaped drive plate.

-

Establish an external 12v power supply then, extend sunshade completely.

-

Tighten 3 screws holding motor to bracket.

-

Operate unit and check that both arms retract evenly (pay particular attention to the first 100 mm of travel).

Note:

If sunshade chatters during operations lubricate track using a lightweight grease.

If necessary loosen 3 screws holding motor to bracket and adjust until both arms operate evenly (see examples below),

Lever arm on left side retracts sooner than right side (adjust motor to the right)

Lever arm on right side retracts sooner than left side (adjust motor to the left)

-

Adjust until both arms operate evenly.

Tighten all screws

Note:

Extend sunshade approx. 10 mm (to aid in reassembly into vehicle.

Remove external power supply.

-

Reinstall sunshade assembly to parcel shelf.

-

Reconnect electrical connectors for control unit and stop light.

-

Reinstall parcel shelf, seat belts, speakers and seats into vehicle in reverse order of removal.

-

Check sunshade for proper function.
