Condition

CD will not eject from glovebox CD Changer.

Service

It may be possible to eject stuck CDs from changer, without having to send unit to supplier for retrieval.

Two methods are outlined in this technical bulletin:

Ejecting CD By Voltage Reset.

Ejecting CD Using Guided Functions Diagnostics

Note:

Never remove cover on CD Changer to retrieve stuck media. This voids the supplier warranty, and the repair claim will be debited.

Electing CD By Voltage Reset

Insert two keys of radio release tool (Part No. T10057) in front of CD Changer.

Pull CD changer out of mounting frame.

-

Disconnect power supply electrical connector from CD changer.

-

Wait 30 seconds, and reconnect power supply electrical connector.

-

Attempt to eject CD.

If CD does not eject from changer.

-

Proceed to "Guided Functions - Adaptation".
