Condition

Front door window glass cracked on the inside rear edge area when the window is down and door is closed with force.

Production

Modified latch/lock mounting bracket as of

VIN: 4E 4N 004 119

Service

Before new replacement window is installed, modify latch/lock mounting bracket (located in area shown) as follows:

Remove door panel (see Repair Manual Repair group 70 - Front door trim, removing and installing).

Disassemble door lock cover and if needed door window.

Remove front door lock assembly to gain access to door lock mounting bracket and to keep debris out of latch assembly (see Repair Manual Repair
group 57 - Door lock, removing and installing.
