Condition
Sun roof cannot be opened in lift position.
Cause:
Loss of sun roof drive initialization.

Service
Perform initialization run on sun roof drive as follows (also refer to Body Exterior, Group 60 in AESIS for additional information concerning sunroof
initialization):

Close sunroof from lift or slide position (switch is in closed position and is continuously pulled).

Release the switch (after hearing a click from the back of the sun roof drive) and pull again till a rattling noise can be heard (from front deflector
motor).

Release switch while the motor still rattles, immediately pull the switch again and hold.

After the rattling noise stops, the initialization starts.

Hold the switch until all positions (sliding position fully open/closed/lift position fully open/closed) have been performed and the resistance values
stored.

Operate the sunroof through its full range of functions in order to verify functionality.
When procedure applies to vehicles within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, use the table.
