With the square timber, press the control arm -1- downward -arrow A-, until the air spring damper -2- can be removed forward -arrow B-. This
requires the assistance of a second technician.
Note: When removing the air spring damper, make sure that the protective sleeves on steering, drive axle and air spring strut are not damaged.

Installing
Installation is in reverse order. Note the following:
During assembly, make sure that there are no indentations in the boot of the air spring damper.

The tightening torques of nuts/bolts and information on whether the nuts/bolts must be replaced can be found => (layout of front axle

Initially tighten nuts/bolts of components with bonded rubber bushing hand-tight only. Raise the wheel bearing housing in order to tighten the
nuts/bolts (control position).

Attach mounting bracket to air spring damper.
^
Secure air spring damper to body first.
Tightening sequence:
^
Screw in all bolts.
The mounting bracket's guides must be seated in the sockets on the body.

First tighten bolt -1-, then bolts -2- and -3-.
^
Insert both upper links -3-, tighten nut -1-.
^
When tightening, press upper links down as far as possible.
