Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Spark plug removal tool (3122B)

‹› Compression tester (VAG 1763)

Test Conditions

‹› Engine oil temperature at least 30° C (86° F).

‹› Battery voltage at least 12.7 volts

Test Sequence

Remove the engine cover - 1 and 2 - upward.

Remove the hose - 1 -.

Disconnect the hose - 1 -.
