Unclip the hose - 2 -.

Remove the air intake tube - arrows -.

-

Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors - 2 -.

Remove the ignition coils.

-

Using the (3122B), remove the spark plugs.

Open the throttle valve completely.

-

Check the compression pressure using the (VAG 1763).

‹› Using the tester, refer to the operating instructions.

-

Operate the starter until the (VAG 1763) shows no further pressure increase.

Assembly is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

The following step must be performed after the engine compression test.

‹› Query the fault memory and erase, if necessary.

Use the (VAS 5051) to do so.
