Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Service and Repair

Tiptronic Switch (F189)

  ‹› The Tiptronic switch is a component of the circuit board.

‹› The Tiptronic switch is secured on the cover strip.

Removing 

-

Remove the handle on the selector lever. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Shift Linkage/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Selector Lever Handle.

Remove the selector mechanism cover. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Cover ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Shift Linkage/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Selector Mechanism Cover

Press frame - B  - together a center area - arrows - as remove cover molding - A - at the same time.

Carefully lever out the mounting lugs - arrow A - and - arrow B - (mounting lugs are covered).

Remove guide and cover strip with Tiptronic switch from frame.

  ‹› The circuit board - 1  - can only be replaced together with the frame.

‹› The Tiptronic switch solenoid can only be replaced together with the cover strip.

‹› Replace the guide if the mounting lugs are damaged.
