"Program can be carried out" screen is displayed, press the forward arrow (>) button at bottom right corner of screen

After "Update programming" is complete, check that software version 0040 is displayed -arrow-

Select "Go to" and exit

Proceed to Section H

Section H - Final System Check

Go to vehicle self diagnosis and erase all sporadic DTCs in Gateway-installation list

-

If a permanent fault code in the DSP Bose Amplifier - Address word "47 - sound system for component protection" is encountered, follow steps in
Guided Fault Finding to disable component protection of Amplifier, otherwise continue

-

Check MMI operation in all modes (Radio, CD, NAV, etc.)

-

Attempt an OnStar(R) telephone call (blue button): radio should mute and green OnStar(R) light should flash

NOTE:  

The navigation may be reinitialized

Proceed to Section H - Data Transfer

Activate radio menu by pressing radio function selector button

Select "Guided Fault Finding" on VAS 5051/5052

-

Select "Audi", then select "Audi A8 2004>

-

Select engine version, press forward (>) at bottom right corner of screen and follow directions given in display

NOTE:
-

The "vehicle system test" will not be carried out, during which all fault memories will be read

-

If applicable, follow directions given in the display
