Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Activating

Activating

-

Remove rear seat bench.

NOTE:  Left and right side airbags can only be jointly activated. Individual side airbag activation is not possible.

A connector is installed on left and right under rear seat bench.

-

Cut connector wire ties.

-

Connect connector for side airbag - 1 -.

-

Remove rear wheel housing trim.

-

Connect crash sensor connector at C-pillar.

-

Install rear wheel housing trim.

-

Install rear seat bench.

-

Remove side airbag deactivation stickers from rear door frames.

-

Use cleaning agent to remove any residual adhesive from door frames.

-

Change coding of airbag control module to coding with rear side airbag.

-

Fill in registration card and forward it to appropriate sales center/importer for registration. Put page 3 of registration card in vehicle documents.
