Unscrew the connection piece -1- from the residual pressure retention valve -2-. Air will escape when doing this.
Note: The residual pressure retention valve -2- must not be loosened or removed.

Seal both connections, make sure that no particles of dirt enter the connections.
^
Turn the wheel hub until one of the holes for wheel bolts is at the top.
^
Attach mounting T10149 with the wheel bolt.
^
Raise the wheel bearing housing with the engine/gearbox jack until the control position, dimension -a-, has been reached.
Standard suspension dimension -a-: 416 ±5 mm
Sports suspension dimension -a-: 396 ±5 mm
CAUTION:
^
Do not raise or lower the vehicle, while the engine/transmission jack is under the vehicle.
^
Do not /cave the engine/transmission jack standing under the vehicle any longer than necessary.
^
Tighten the nuts/bolts involved.
^
Lower the wheel bearing housing.
^
Pull engine/transmission jack from under the vehicle.
^
Remove mounting T10149.
^
Screw the connection piece -1- to the residual pressure retention valve -2-.
Tightening torque => Connection piece, 3 Nm
^
Always adhere to tightening torque!
^
Unscrew only when vehicle is raised and air spring shock absorber is not under load (otherwise, danger of injury when lowering vehicle)
^
Replace air line if leaking
^
Clean the line connection before loosening
