If no ATF drips out of the ATF inspection opening when the temperature has reached 40° C (104 Â°F):

Filling the ATF

  ‹› The ATF inspection plug must be installed again before the ATF reaches 45 Â°C (113 Â°F) (50 Â°C (122 Â°F) for countries with hot climates).

Let the transmission cool down and check again.

Guide filler hook of (V.A.G 1924) from underneath into an opening in the cap - arrow -.

Add ATF using (V.A.G 1924) until ATF drips from the check hole.

  ‹› Too little or too much ATF will impair the transmission.

Fasten ATF inspection plug with new gasket - arrow - to 80 Nm. The ATF level test is now completed.
