Remove the wheel on the affected side.

Install the (T10149) using a wheel bolt.

Place the (T10149) in the (V.A.G 1383 A).

Raise the wheel bearing housing (maximum 10 cm) until is it possible to swivel the drive axle out of the flange shaft.

CAUTION!
‹› Do not raise the wheel bearing housing more than 10 cm! Otherwise the vehicle could fall off the hoist!

‹› If necessary, load the luggage compartment with approximately 50 kg or secure the vehicle to the hoist with a mounting strap

(T10038).

‹› Do not lift or lower vehicle when the (V.A.G 1383 A) stands below the vehicle.

‹› Do not leave (V.A.G 1383 A) below vehicle any longer than necessary.

Remove the flange shaft bolt. While doing this, install the two bolts into the flange counterhold the flange shaft using a tire iron.

-

Place the (V.A.G 1306) underneath.

-

Remove the flange shaft.

-

If equipped, pry out the dust ring with a screwdriver.
