Upper B-pillar Trim, Removing And Installing

WARNING:  Observe safety precautions when working on side curtain airbags.

NOTE:  Removing and installing upper B-pillar trim - 1 - is the same for vehicles with and without side curtain airbag.

B-pillar trim

Removing:

-

Remove safety belt from seat.

-

Remove lower B-pillar trim.

-

Remove Phillips-head screws - 4 -.

-

Pull trim out of guide for side curtain airbag toward bottom.

-

Remove 3-point seat belt - 5 - from B-pillar trim.

WARNING:  Always observe installation sequence for B-pillar trim.

Installing:

-

Insert tab - 7 - in guide for side curtain airbag from below.

-

Assemble B-pillar trim with manual seat belt height adjustment - 8 - as shown in figure.

NOTE:  Do not press button for manual height adjustment during assembly.
