Heater core of passenger-side heating system, removing and installing

Switch ignition off.

Remove cowl panel
WARNING!
The cooling system is pressurized when the engine is warm. Wear gloves and other appropriate protection, and slowly and carefully
release system pressure, if necessary, before performing repairs.

Release pressure in cooling system by opening the cap on the coolant expansion tank and drain cooling system into a clean container.

Disconnect both coolant hoses from the engine to the pump valve unit (-A- and -B-) and mark arrangement of coolant hoses.

Hold coolant hose -A- into clean container.

Carefully blow the coolant out of the pump valve unit and heater cores through coolant hose -B- with a compressed air.
NOTE:

Plug the upper coolant hose to each of the two heater cores alternately to make sure that the coolant is blown out of both heater cores.

Unplug harness connectors to the pump valve unit.

Loosen securing screw -A- for the holder for coolant hoses (in plenum) about 2 turns.

Remove coolant line bracket.

Remove glove box and side trim of the center console
-
Remove footwell air outlet.
-
Cover over floor of car and area below heater core with absorbant paper
