Remove clamps -A- and -B-.

-

Remove both coolant lines from heater core.

-

Push both coolant lines in direction of "plenum chamber".

NOTE:  Since the grommet in the area of passage of the coolant lines is slightly covered with silicone lubricant, the lines can be moved without
moving the grommet from the A/C housing.

Remove bolts -C-.

-

Remove bracket.

-

Pull out heater core -D-.

Version "1 " heater core, installing

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Before installing the heater core, check openings -A- of condensation water drain for soiling and clean if necessary.

NOTE:

-

Condensation water drain valve must not be obstructed by wax or underbody sealer and must close properly.

The drain openings in the illustration are depicted with the heater cores installed.

Cleaning:

-

Removed: Reach through opening in the heater core and clean the condensation water drains, e.g. using wire.

-

Heater core installed: Clean condensation water drains from the outside, e.g. using wire (with condensation water hose removed).
