Remove fuses 1, 2 and 3 (in blue fuse carrier, 4th row from the top).

Start output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM). Refer to "Scan Tool Testing/Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)" See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection

Connect hand-held multimeter (voltage measurement range) between Ground (GND) and either left or right contact of the following fuses (only
one fuse terminal voltage supply):

Fuse No. 

Specification for left or right contact

1 

approx. battery voltage

2 

approx. battery voltage

3 

approx. battery voltage

If the specifications are not obtained:

-

Check wiring.

If no malfunction is detected in wire:

-

Replace Fuel Pump (FP) Relay -J17.

Display readiness code. The readiness code must be regenerated if the DTC memory was erased.
