Upper Link, Removing and Installing

1 - Circlip 12 x 1

Assembly aid from production, no longer required when performing repairs

2 - Mounting bracket

Removing and installing, Refer to Control Arm, Service and Repair.

3 - Washer
4 - Self locking nut

^

Always replace

^

Tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.), plus additional 90 ° turn

5 - Hex bolt

^

Always replace

6 - Upper rear link

^

To remove, remove bolts -5- and -7-

^

Installation position, Refer to Fig. 1

^

Replacing bushing, Refer to Bushing In Upper Rear Link, Replacing.

7 - Hex bolt
8 - Self locking nut, 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)

Always replace

9 - Wheel bearing housing

^

Vehicles with headlight vertical aim control, Refer to Lighting and  Horns.

Removing and installing with wheel bearing pressed in, Refer to Wheel Bearing, Service and Repair.

Servicing with wheel bearing pressed in, Refer to Wheel Bearing, Service and Repair.
