Installing

Tightening torque of ball screws -1-: 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) plus additional 90° turn.

Slide drive axle outer joint pin into wheel hub and tighten new hex bolt hand tight.
Any residual adhesive on threads of joint bolt should be removed.

Install both upper link joint pins into wheel bearing housing.
^
Install new self-locking nuts -1- and tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
^
When tightening press upper link as far downward as possible!
^
Install ABS speed sensor.
^
Install brake disc, bolt on brake caliper and tighten to 190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.).
^
Install wheel and tighten to 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).
^
Tighten drive axle hex bolt. Only tighten with vehicle standing on its wheels -danger of accident-.
Tightening torque (hex bolt): 190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.) plus additional 180° turn.
The alignment of the front suspension must be checked and if necessary adjusted using VW/Audi-approved wheel alignment equipment.
