Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Torque Converter Sealing Ring, Replacing
Overview
CAUTION!
Before installing the transmission, check the installation dimension of the torque converter.
Notes:

Pay affection to the rules for cleanliness when performing work on the automatic transmission.

General repair instructions.
^
Coat sealing rings with Vaseline. Other types of lubricant lead to malfunctions in the hydraulic transmission control.
1 - Torque converter
^
Must be secured to prevent it from falling out when transmission is removed
2 - Snap ring
^
In front of sealing ring
^
Replace if damaged
3 - Sealing ring
4 - Wavy washer
^
Location: behind sealing ring
^
Replace if damaged
