Drive/Propeller Shaft: Service and Repair
Removing and Installing
CAUTION!
This is a carbon fiber drive shaft.

Do not bump, hit or drop the shaft..
^
If there is damage to the surface, replace the drive shaft.
^
The drive shaft be bent more than 25°. Otherwise, the universal joint could be damaged.
^
The drive shaft should be stored and transported in stretched position.
^
When removing the drive shaft from the rear final drive, the balance disc which may be found between the base plate and bolt no longer needs to
be installed. The bolts currently available are too short for installation with an additional balance disc.
Removing
^
Remove crossmember (arrows).
^
Remove rear exhaust system (arrows).
^
Remove left three way catalytic converter.
^
Remove heat shield for drive shaft -A- from cover for Torsen differential (arrows).
^
Remove heat shields over drive shaft.
