Check for cracks and abrasion

Drive off with drift

Seal face with D-3, or equivalent, before installing on the CV-joint

Drive axle
-

Identical length for both right and left

Outer CV joint boot
-

Check for cracks and abrasion

Clamp
-

Always replace

-

Tightening go to, refer to  Fig. 3, below.

Dished washer
-

Installation position, refer to  Fig. 5, below.

Spacer washer
-

Installation position, refer to  Fig. 5, below.

Circlip
-

Always replace

-

Install in groove in ball hub of CV joint

-

Installation position, refer to  Fig. 5, below.

Outer CV joint
-

Outer diameter 98 mm 

-

Replace as complete part only

-

Pressing off, refer to  Fig. 4, below.

Installation, drive joint onto axle with plastic hammer, until circlip engages in the ring groove of the axle

Greasing, see note above

Ball hub must be supported during pressing operation.

Press joint into stop

Install circlip

NOTE:  Chamfer on splines on inner diameter of ball hub faces axle when installing
