Check sealing ring seat in transmission housing for damage; rework if necessary.

Slide double sealing ring onto thrust piece 3404 so that larger and most projecting outer ring (arrow) of sealing ring faces tool.

Drive double sealing ring in to stop using thrust piece 3404.
CAUTION!
If the intermediate flange is not placed carefully on the pinion shaft, the sealing lips of the gasket could be damaged.
