Engine Mount: Testing and Inspection

Engine mounts, checking

The electro-hydraulic engine mounts with electrical activation prevent engine vibration to the body over the entire RPM range.

At idle the engine mounts are soft.

In driving mode the engine mounts are hard.

Switch ignition on.

Carry out output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) for left and right engine mounts. Refer to "Scan Tool Testing/Output Diagnostic Test Mode
(DTM) (Function 03)" under "Powertrain Management" See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection

Left Elect-Hydr Engine Mou Sol Valve -N144

Press -> button.

Output Diagnostic Test Mode

Right Elec-Hydr Engine Mou Sol Valve -N145

During activation of the engine mounts both solenoids valve must click audible.

If the specified values are not obtained, carry out following checks:

Checking voltage supply for engine mounts

Disconnect harness connector of particular solenoid valve.
