Side Curtain Protection Airbag, Removing and Installing

Observe safety precautions for working on airbag and side curtain airbag.

Side curtain airbag

Removing:
-

Note radio code (for vehicles equipped with coded anti-theft radio / radio navigation system).

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap/cable and cover the negative battery post.

Remove D-pillar trim.

-

Remove A-pillar trim.

-

Disconnect harness connector for side curtain airbag.
-

Remove bolts -4- and -5-.

-

Remove bolts -6- (4x).

-

Place igniter on rear parcel shelf.

-

Remove bracket - 2- (6x) from roof frame.

-

Take tension strap - 3- and form a loop with igniter -7-.
