Rear Occupied Seat Sensor, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove rear seat bench.

-

Cut through tie wrap for wiring 2-pin connector - 2 - (left and right) and disconnect from grille frame.

Seat cover

Connector for seat heater

Connector for rear seatback

Remove cover - 2 - for rear seat left and right.

Separate sensor mat - 3 - from cushion - 1 - carefully at locations identified with arrows.

Remove electrical wiring from opening - 4 -.

Installing

Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION:  Sensor mat must not be creased, otherwise mat will malfunction.

Position sensor mat- 3 - without folds or bends at adhesive location (arrows) on cushion - 1 -.

Install electrical wiring in opening - 4 -.

-

Slide sensor mat at - 5 - in folds.
