Disassembling and assembling air intake shroud

Before installing intake housing, seal housing joint in areas - C - and - D - thoroughly with silicone adhesive sealant D 176 001 A3.

Seal grommet through which wiring harness is routed into air conditioner (to Fresh Air Blower Control Module J126) with silicone sealant D 176
001 A3 (to prevent ingress of water into air conditioner through grommet or past grommet).
NOTE:
-
If there are complaints about humidity (condensation build-up on windshield, odor), a sponge rubber strip 3 mm - A - must be inserted as far as
areas - B - in addition to sealing measures described. In the area marked - B -, in which the groove is narrower, there should be no sponge
rubber strip.

Use commercially available sponge rubber strip, soft type 3 mm.
