Intake Housing With Air Flow Flap, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove left and right plenum chamber covers.

-

Remove dust and pollen filter.

-

Remove dome brace with reinforcement to cowl panel trim.

-

Switch on ignition and set air conditioner to fresh-air mode (e.g. by "Defrost" setting on Climatronic Control Module J255)

NOTE: To gain access to bolts - A -, air flow flap must be open.

-

Remove bolts - A -.

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Now remove the remaining screws - arrows -.

-

Release fasteners for wiring harness - A - on left and right of air conditioner.

-

Take off air intake shroud with air flow flap.

-

If necessary for further work, open remaining wiring harness fasteners at air conditioner.

-

Remove bolts - A -.

-

Remove cover - B -.

-

Remove temperature sensor from intake housing

-
