Headlamp Control Module: Service and Repair

Headlamp Range Control Module

  ‹› Component location: On instrument panel support behind instrument cluster.

Removing

-

If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided
Functions" with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B).

Select the function or path:

Follow the instructions on the (VAS 5051B) display.

Remove instrument cluster => [ Instrument Cluster ] See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service
and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Instrument Cluster.

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove bracket - 1 - for headlamp range control module (J431) from instrument panel support.

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.
