ATF, Draining or Filling after Repair

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drip tray (V.A.G 1306)

‹› ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924)

‹› Protective glasses

Procedure

‹› The engine is switched off.

To ensure vehicle is absolutely level, drive onto a 4-column lifting platform or over a service pit.

Fill reservoir of the ATF Filler Tool (V.A.G 1924) with ATF for automatic transmission 09L ATF specification => [ Planetary Transmission
Capacities ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Specifications/Capacity Specifications/09LA Transmission

CAUTION!
The ATF filler tool must be clean and the ATF must not be mixed with any other ATF oils!

Secure ATF Filler Tool (V.A.G 1924) reservoir as high as possible on vehicle.

-

Loosen quick-release connectors - 2 - and remove rear noise insulation.
