Checking operation involves entire belt assembly including side trim.

Activation of restraint function:

Pull out belt as far as it will go.

Correct function:

Belt should be heard to retract.

If retraction is stopped, belt can no longer be pulled out again.

Deactivation:
-
Retract belt as far as last approx. 100 mm.

Restraint function must be deactivated at latest by time belt has been retracted as far as last 100 mm. Belt re - assumes its normal function.
