‹› Drip tray (V.A.G 1306)
‹› Protective glasses
Conditions
‹› Gear oil temperature at approximately 20° C (room temperature).

To ensure vehicle is absolutely level, drive onto a 4-column lifting platform or over a service pit.

Place drip tray (V.A.G 1306) underneath transmission.

Remove inspection plug - arrow -.

Fill front final drive with gear oil (specification => [ Front Final Drive Capacities ] See: Specifications/Capacity Specifications/09LA
Transmission/Front Final Drive Capacities) slowly over a period of at least 5 minutes until oil drips from bottom of inspection hole.
‹› A filling time of at least 5 minutes is required so that the internal oil level between the differential and oil fill space can equalize.
‹› Sealing plug with sealing ring must be replaced.

Tighten new sealing plug to 35 Nm.
‹› It is not necessary to check the oil level again at this stage.
