‹› Slide Hammer - Complete Set (VW 771) 

‹› Pulling Hook (VW 771/37) 

‹› Mandrel (3026)

‹› Retainer (3028)

‹› Seal Driver-Frt Wheel Bearing (3143)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332) 

‹› Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A) with Universal Transmission Support (V.A.G 1359/2)

‹› Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1)

‹› Locking Fluid (D 000 600)

‹› Two M8 x 30 bolts

‹› M10 x 100 bolt, 10.9

Removing

‹› The rear final drive is installed

‹› Observe general repair notes, refer to => [ General Repair Information ] See: Rear Final Drive/Description and

Remove rear section of the exhaust system. 

-

Separate the driveshaft from rear final drive and tie it up. Refer to => [ Driveshaft from Rear Final Drive ] See: Driveshaft From Rear Final Drive.

Position the (V.A.G 1383 A) with (V.A.G 1359/2) under final drive.

Remove the bolt from the transmission support - arrow A -, if equipped.
