Seat Heating Element, Removing And Installing

Removing And Installing Seat Heating Element (glued)

NOTE:  If the heating element is sewn into the cover, the cover must also be replaced.

-

Remove seat.

-

Remove seat cover.

-

Cut electrical wire - 2 - off old heating element - 1 -.

-

Glue new heating element onto old heating element (avoid creasing).

-

Insert heating element into folds at locations marked - 4 -.

-

Insert wire - 2 - into slot - 3 - provided.

Removing And Installing Seat Heating Element (inserted In Seat Cover Fabric)

Remove seat.

-

Remove seat cover.
-

Seat side bolster heating element is glued on. If malfunctioning, cut off wire and glue new heating element on top of the old one.

Pull seat heating element out of seat cover fabric.

-

Push specially made hook (own manufacture) through openings in seat cover.

-

Engage new seat heating element in hook and pull it into seat cover.

-

After pulling it into position, fold back projecting heating element material.

CAUTION:  When pulling the heating elements into position, make sure that they are not bent over or crumpled.
The projecting heating element material must not be crumpled when installing the seat cover fabric.
