Allroad Quattro V6-2.7L Turbo (APB) (2002)

Disconnect brake lines -1- on brake master cylinder and seal brake lines using plugs from repair kit, Part No. 1H0698311 A.

Remove master brake cylinder nuts - 2-.

Carefully remove master brake cylinder from brake booster.
When installing, pay particular attention to the following points

When installing master brake cylinder onto brake booster, make sure push rod is correctly located in master brake cylinder.

Apply slight pressure to brake pedal to move push rod toward master brake cylinder; this makes it easier to guide master brake cylinder onto push
rod.
Bleeding clutch hydraulics:

Connect US1116 but do not switch on yet.

Open bleeder valve on clutch slave cylinder.

Attach collector bottle hose.

Switch on bleeder unit and allow approximately 100 cc of brake fluid to flow out of clutch slave cylinder.

Close bleeder valve.

Brake booster, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment

T10006 disengaging tool

Refer to Body and Frame.

Sealing plugs from repair kit, Part No. 1H0 698311 A
Removing
-
Remove driver's-side storage compartment.
Refer to Body and Frame.

Attach bleeder hose of bleeder bottle to left- front brake caliper bleeder valve and open bleeder valve.

Operate brake pedal to pump out as much brake fluid as possible.

Close left-front bleeder valve.
Note: Cover engine compartment to make sure that brake fluid does not flow into it.
