Requirements

VAS5051 tester connected and vehicle On Board Diagnostic (OBD) selected, Refer to  Connecting Manufacturer's Scan Tool (VAS 5051)  See:
Overview - Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)/Connecting Manufacturer's Scan Tool

Ignition switched ON.

Procedure

Display on VAS5051:

-

Press selection -1- of vehicle system "17-instrument cluster" (instrument panel insert).

-

Wait until the next indication appears on display.

Display on VAS5051:

Control module  identification of instrument cluster.

Control module identification of immobilizer.
