Condition
After cold start the engine runs rough. Vehicle may stumble, buck and/or shutter on initial acceleration. Engine may stall at idle when transmission is
shifted from Neutral/Park to Drive or Reverse.
Condition usually lasts for less than 30 seconds after engine start. Afterwards the vehicle starts and runs without any of these complaints.
Condition may be occasionally associated with the DTCs shown.
When procedure applies to vehicles within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, use the table.
Service
Verify if condition is accompanied by any DTCs.
CAUTION!
When performing the reflash procedure, ALL DTCs for all Systems are erased DTCs linked to Guided Fault Finding function tests will be lost.
Therefore, always address stored DTCs for Customer concerns unrelated to the reflash procedure first.
If the diagnostics of the engine does not reveal any faulty component, Reprogramming of the ECM will be necessary.
