Headlamp Igniter Module: Service and Repair

Igniter For Gas Discharge Lamps -N195-, Removing and Installing

WARNING!

High voltage!

Make sure to disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before performing work on parts of gas discharge (xenon) headlight marked with yellow
high voltage symbols.

NOTE:

-

Obtain radio code before disconnecting battery.

Be sure to activate vehicle features (radio, clock, electric window regulator, engine) when the battery is re-connected.

Removing

-

Remove both bolts -1- at air intake channel and then pull up at rear part of intake channel -2- (only for right headlight).

-

Remove housing cover from headlight housing.

-

Disconnect connector -1- at gas discharge headlight by turning counterclockwise.
