Power Steering Fluid Level Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Operation Switch At Multi-function Steering Wheel, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.

NOTE:  Always follow airbag safety precautions when working on airbag system components

Unlatch steering column adjustment. Pull steering wheel as far out and up as possible.

Remove airbag unit by removing bolts at left and right at steering wheel using a T30 Torx bit. Tightening torque: 6 Nm

Carefully flip airbag unit forward.

Disconnect connectors -1- and -2- at airbag unit.

Remove airbag unit.

-

Disconnect connector -3- and remove both T1O Torx screws at left or right operating switch.

-

Remove operating switch toward front.

Installing:

NOTE:  During installation, make sure that connecting wire of connector -3- is in guides and is not pinched.

Install in reverse order of removal.
