Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair

Steering angle sensor -G85-, removing and installing 

Removing 

WARNING:  
^

Before removing steering wheel, wheels must be positioned in the straight-ahead position.

^

Observe safety precautions for working on airbags, Refer to Restrain Systems.

^

If these procedures are not observed, the airbag system may not function properly during vehicle operation! 

^

Remove airbag unit, Refer to Restrain Systems.

^

Disengage clip for airbag.

^

Disconnect connector for steering angle sensor (arrow).

^

Remove steering wheel.

^

Remove airbag unit, Refer to Restrain Systems.

Removing steering column switch
^

Disengage steering column adjustment.

^

Remove steering column completely.

^

Remove bolt -1- (2x). Tightening torque 3 Nm. 

^

Remove handle -2-.
