Remove nut -1-.

Pry out clip -2-.

Remove cover.
Note: Shown without wheel bearing housing and strut for the sake of illustration.
Work outline only valid for 2.7 Bi-Turbo

Lower subframe at rear.

Removing left exhaust pipe
^
Remove shielding panel.
Work outline is valid for all vehicles
^
Place pan underneath vehicle to collect hydraulic fluid.
^
Unbolt banjo fitting for return hose (22 mm wrench) from steering gear.
