Allroad Quattro V6-2.7L Turbo (APB) (2002)

The engine must not be started and the vehicle must not be towed if there is no ATF in the transmission!

Drain plug with sealing ring must be replaced.
-
Tighten new drain plug - 1 - to 40 Nm.
Filling transmission with ATF
CAUTION! Transmission must be filled exactly according to instructions.

Remove ATF inspection plug.

Guide filler hook of ATF filler tool V.A.G 1924 into an opening - arrow - of protective cap, while doing so, do not push cap up and in.

Add ATF using ATF filler tool V.A.G 1924 until ATF exits from check hole.

Place selector lever in position "P" .

Start engine and allow it to run at idle approx. 20 minutes.

Stop engine.

Fill ATF again with ATF Filler Tool V.A.G 1924 until ATF escapes from inspection hole.

Start engine and allow it to run at idle.

Continue to add ATF using ATF filler tool V.A.G 1924 until ATF exits again from check hole.

Tighten ATF inspection plug.

With engine idling, depress the brake pedal and shift the selector lever through all the selector lever positions, leaving selector lever in each
position for at least 10 seconds.

Place selector lever in position "P" .

Check ATF level.
