Drive flange of seals, replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items

Observe general repair instructions.

Note:  All the illustrations show the left side of the final drive. Removal and installation is the same for the drive flange and seal on the right hand
side.

Removing

Rear final drive installed

-

Remove heat shields from final drive (arrows).

-

Place drip tray underneath.

-

Unbolt drive shaft.

-

To loosen the securing bolt, screw two bolts into the drive flange and counter-hold with a lever.

-

Lever seal out with a lever.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:
-

Lightly oil outer circumference of seal.
