Thermostat, Removing and Installing

Thermostat, removing and installing

Special tools and equipment

Fitting sleeve 3265

Removing

-

Drain off coolant. 

-

Detach coolant hoses at thermostat housing.

-

Remove bolts (arrows). 

-

Remove thermostat housing.

-

Press down retainer with fitting sleeve 3265 and turn retainer clockwise.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Replace sealing rings.

Secure aft hose connections with standard hose clamps; Refer to Part Supplier 

-

Clean/smooth sealing surface. 

-

Pay attention to installation position of thermostat.
