WARNING:  Use safety goggles.

-

Clean sealing surfaces; they must be free from oil and grease.

-

Cut off nozzle of tube at front mark (diameter of nozzle approximately 1 mm).

-

Insert new oil seals -1- to -4- in grooves at cylinder block.

-

Apply silicone sealant beads (arrows) as shown to clean sealing surface of cylinder block.

Thickness of sealant bead: 1.5 to 2.0 mm

Note:

Upper part of sump must be installed within 5 minutes after applying silicone sealant

Sealant bead must not be thicker than specified, otherwise excess sealant could enter sump and clog strainer at intake connection.

-

Install upper part of sump with help of 2nd mechanic and diagonally pre-tighten bolts -1- to -7- to 5 Nm.

-

Diagonally tighten bolts -1- to -7- to 15 Nm.

Perform further installation in reverse order, note the following:
