Side airbag, driver's/front passenger side
Removing
See Caution before beginning repairs on electrical system

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap/cable.

Remove backrest trim.
-
Detach backrest cover in area of side airbag - 1 -.
-
Release retainer of connector - 3 -.
-
Disconnect connector - 3 - from airbag unit - 1 -.
-
Remove screws - 2 - (2x).
