Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair
Steering angle sensor -G85-, removing and installing

Remove the driver's side airbag unit.

Remove airbag unit and steering wheel
-
Wheels set to straight-ahead position.
Driver airbag unit and steering wheel removed.

Pull steering column out and tilt downward as far as it will go.

Remove bolt -1- (2x), tightening torque 2.8 Nm.

Remove grip -2-.
-
Remove two Phillips-head screws -arrows-.
-
Tightening torque 0.6 Nm.

Remove upper trim panel from steering column switch -1-.
When installing, insert upper shell into hooks of lower shell, swivel downward and screw in place.

Remove screws -2- (2x). Tightening torque 0.6 Nm

Remove hex socket head bolt -1-.
-
Tightening torque 0.6 Nm.

Remove lower trim from steering column switch -3-.
